California State University San Marcos expects to hire up to two (2) tenure-track assistant professors for Fall 2026 with expertise in Clinical or Counseling Psychology. The Psychology department at California State University San Marcos serves over 2000 students, offering two in-person bachelor’s degrees (Psychological Science and Child and Adolescent Development) and a Master’s degree in Psychological Science. In addition, in Fall 2026, the department is launching a Master’s degree program in Clinical Counseling Psychology, preparing students to pursue licensure as a professional clinical counselor (LPCC), to which these two new hires will primarily contribute. The department employs a teacher-scholar model (with tenure-line faculty teaching a 3-3 load), emphasizing psychology as an empirical science and the development of skills that include written and oral communication, information literacy, quantitative and qualitative research methods, and critical analysis of complex problems. Multicultural perspectives and ethical issues are integral to the department’s curriculum.

Post-Doc Researcher (TUC- Biology) Northridge
The University Corporation is recruiting for a Post-Doc Researcher for Biology. This position will lead research using eDNA technology to investigate the biodiversity of marine coastal ecosystems with and without the presence of nearby low-trophic aquaculture farms, and microbial diversity associated with biogeochemical cycling of nutrients. The postdoctoral scientist will coordinate and execute the collection of sediment and seawater samples using SCUBA when necessary from aquaculture sites and paired reference sites lacking aquaculture farms. The postdoc will also lead the processing of samples in the laboratory to amplify and sequence DNA fragments, their analysis, and lead the writing of manuscripts for publishing results in peer-reviewed journals. The successful candidate will work closely with the PIs, graduate and undergraduate students (serving as an additional mentor to student trainees), and interdisciplinary collaborators in the social sciences. The postdoc should show potential for leadership in the field of organismal interactions, ecology, and/or evolution, with the corresponding contemporary field and laboratory research skills.

The Facilities Maintenance Mechanic is a skilled generalist, performing at a journey-level in one trade with strong skills in other trades. Incumbents independently perform a variety of skilled preventive and general maintenance, repair, construction, and renovation work on facilities and systems. The Facilities Maintenance Mechanic is distinguished from the Facilities Worker classifications by the independent performance of skilled, journey-level trade work, particularly in the electro-mechanical trades. Incumbents typically operate, test, install, repair and perform corrective and preventive maintenance on mechanical facilities equipment and systems including HVAC and plumbing systems; perform electrical maintenance and repair work including work on low voltage control systems; use computerized maintenance systems to ensure preventive maintenance program objectives are met; perform a wide range of facilities renovation, maintenance, and repair work; estimate costs of materials and labor; determine the priority for requisitioning materials and supplies; may perform welding to make repairs and fabricate and construct parts; may monitor contractor performance and work progress; respond to routine maintenance and service requests; and provide instruction and direction to unskilled and semi-skilled assistants.
