Compensation and Benefits
Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $4,693 - $6,500 per month
Full Classification Salary Range: $4,693 - $8,489 per month
- This is a full-time, probationary, exempt position.
The CSU system provides a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans, membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), sick and vacation time, and 14 paid holidays a year. Reporting directly to the Associate Director of Planning and Design, the Design Analyst / CAD Coordinator is a member of the Planning Design & Construction team, a unit under the Facilities Management Department. The Design Analyst / CAD Coordinator is responsible for assisting with planning and design activities included in the campus Capital Improvement Program for minor capital outlay projects. Typical projects include minor renovations and capital renewal/deferred maintenance. The incumbent will also support Facilities Management by creating and maintaining various file systems, CAD drawing database, and Facilities Link digital Plan Room and related modules.
- Experience using AutoCAD and Bluebeam Revu
- Demonstrated ability in planning, design, and construction administration, over a variety of construction delivery methods
- Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
- Knowledge of construction procedures and bidding processes
- Experience within the California State University or public state agency preferred
- Professional license in Architecture and/or Engineering (or working towards) preferred

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, and Construction or related field
- Minimum (5) five years of experience in project management, project engineering, project planning, or architectural design work for a broad variety of building types, which includes leading and/or supervising the work of others (including project consultant team)
