(Administrative Support Coordinator I)

Compensation and Benefits

Anticipated Hiring Salary: $3,064 per month

Full CSU Classification Salary Range: $3,064 - $5,148 per month

  • This is a full-time (equivalent to 40 hours per week), probationary, non-exempt position.

The CSU system provides a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans, membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), sick and vacation time, and 14 paid holidays a year. Job Summary

Under general supervision of the Department Chair, this position provides technical and administrative support of the Department of Music, particularly the department’s financial accounts and transactions.  The position has direct contact with faculty, students, and other campus staff, guest artists, vendors, and members of the community.

 

Key Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of financial record-keeping, mathematical and general office methods, and practices.
  • Knowledge of general accounting procedures and practices to analyze basic accounting problems.
  • Knowledge of office equipment and computer office systems and ability to use a broad range of technology, systems, and software packages.
  • Ability to review financial documents for accuracy, completeness, validity, and adherence to standards.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret accounting data and apply problem-solving techniques in finding solutions to basic accounting problems.

Education and Experience

  • Equivalent to a high school program, technical/vocational program, or their equivalents
  • Three years of related office work experience which must include bookkeeping or similar financial record-keeping
