Compensation and Benefits
Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $2912 - $3200 a month
Full classification Salary Range: $2912 - $4592 a month
This is a full-time (equivalent to 40 hours per week), probationary, non-exempt position.
The CSU system provides a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans, membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), sick and vacation time, and 14 paid holidays a year. Reporting directly to the Vice President for University Advancement (VPUA), this position provides day-to-day office support to the Vice President and the Office of the VPUA. The incumbent performs a full range of clerical and secretarial duties at varying levels of complexity that require knowledge of office methods and procedures and that involve the use of judgment and discretion. The Administrative Assistant is committed to excellence, teamwork, and exemplary service in order to support the Vice President’s priorities and vision for the division.
- Knowledge of general office protocols and practices.
- Knowledge of basic methods for research, analysis, and presenting information.
- Knowledge and practical understanding of budget to actual expense tracking, travel arrangements, purchase orders and expense invoices, payroll timekeeping, and record-keeping methods and documentation.
- Working knowledge of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.

Education and Experience
- Completion of a high school degree or equivalent
- Two years of related office work experience in a professional setting.
