Compensation and Benefits


Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $2,011 to $2,112 per month

Full classification Salary Range: $2,011 to $3,384 per month

  • This is a part-time (equivalent to 24 hours per week), probationary, non-exempt position.
  • Multiple positions may be filled from this recruitment.

The CSU system provides a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans, membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), sick and vacation time, and 14 paid holidays a year. Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Interim Manager of Academic Personnel and the general direction of the Faculty Affairs Analyst II position, the incumbent works independently to coordinate administrative and technical support to the office. The scope of work includes the following: request and correspondence tracking; implementation of and coordination of processes; ensuring compliance with collective bargaining, campus policies, state and federal regulations; work with payroll; support to colleges and departments regarding appointment issues; provide training as needed; preparation/creation of publications as required.  The primary focus will be on one or more of the following:  generating appointments; payroll documentation; process improvement; compliance; and other areas as needed.

 

Key Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the campus policies and procedures, CSU, state, and federal policies/regulations on employment related to units 3 and 11
  • Knowledge of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Knowledge of Human Resources Information (HRIS) software and data management.
  • Ability to:
    • Comprehend regulations, policies, and procedures for a variety of employment transactions
    • Work with multiple HR functional processes
    • Make recommendations for process or data management improvement
    • Work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, team-oriented, and stressful environment while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor

Education and Experience

  • A high school diploma, technical/vocational program, or their equivalents.
  • Three years of related experience.
  • Experience working in an office setting and managing processes.
  • Experience implementing procedures or processes.

Following a conditional offer of employment, a background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate may start work with California State University, Fresno. The person holding this position is considered a "mandated reporter" under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 as a condition of employment.

This position may be a "designated position" under the California State University's Conflict of Interest Code. This will require the filing of a Statement of Economic Interest on an annual basis and the completion of training within six (6) months of assuming office and every two (2) years thereafter.
