Title:      Management  – Visiting Professor

Status:   1 Year Visiting

Start:     Fall 2022 (August 2022)

The Department of Management in the Craig School of Business at California State University, Fresno invites applicants for a full-time position as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Management for the academic year 2022-23. The successful candidate will teach applied quantitative reasoning courses for business; specifically, three sections of operations management each semester. The successful candidates will be expected to work cooperatively with faculty and staff in the department and school.  Specific assignments are dependent on departmental needs and the background of the individual.

Required Qualifications:

An earned doctorate (Ph.D. or DBA) in Operations Management or a closely related discipline from an AACSB accredited institution (or equivalent) is required.  Applicants nearing the completion of a doctoral degree (ABD status within the last year) will be considered. 

Preferred Experience:

(1) Demonstrated success in teaching excellence as an instructor of record at the undergraduate or graduate levels;
(2) Demonstrated commitment to working effectively with faculty, staff, and students from diverse ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
(3)  Recent scholarly work in operations management, either through doctoral education or publication in peer-reviewed journals.

1) a cover letter addressing the specific areas of required qualifications and the preferred experience;
2) a curriculum vitae;
3) list of three professional references; and,
4) a diversity statement highlighting experience working with faculty, staff, and students from diverse ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

1) teaching evaluations;
2) sample of research; and,
3) three current letters of recommendation.

Finalists will be required to submit official transcripts.
