Compensation and Benefits
Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $4,170 - $4,500 per month
Full classification Salary Range: $4,170 to $7,545 per month
This is a full-time, probationary, exempt position.
This position is not eligible for remote work pursuant to Fresno State's remote work guidelines and the CSU policy requiring that all work be performed within the State of California.
The CSU system provides a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans, membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), sick and vacation time, and 14 paid holidays a year. Under the general direction of the Provost, support the mission of the university by performing a variety of high-level functions to relieve the Provost of Administrative details of the office. This position requires that a high degree of cooperation exists in dealing with all staff, students, faculty, and administrators who are served. This position performs a full range of high-level functions exercising discretion, diplomacy, initiative, and good judgment. These functions include excellent writing, planning, and organizational skills. The use of high-level confidentiality when handling sensitive information and/or issues with staff, faculty, campus personnel and the public community are of the utmost importance in the position.
- Knowledge of university policies, procedures, and outside regulations pertaining to Student Affairs and Services.
- Working knowledge of operational and fiscal analysis and techniques.
- Knowledge of basic methods and procedures for research and statistical analysis and the ability to apply them.
- Expertise in investigating and analyzing problems with a broad administrative impact and implications, and ability to address them proactively and use considerable judgment and discretion.
- Ability to take initiative and independently plan, organize, coordinate, and perform work in various situations where numerous and diverse demands are involved.
- Skill in the research, development and evaluation of policies and programs, including skill in the collection, evaluation, and interpretation of data to develop sound conclusions and make appropriate recommendations.
- Demonstrated ability to deal appropriately with confidential information and exercise good judgment on sensitive matters.
- Ability to organize and plan work and projects including handling multiple priorities.
- Mastery of English grammar, spelling and punctuation, and ability to compile, write, and present information.
- Ability to serve as a resource to students, staff and the community in responding to inquiries and providing detailed information concerning campus news and events.

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent training and
Two years of administrative work experience involving applying, analysis and/or evaluation or policies, procedures, practices, or programs.
