Special Projects Coordinator
(Administrative Analyst/Specialist - Exempt I)

Compensation and Benefits

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $4,170 to $4,598 per month 

Full CSU Classification Salary Range: $4,170 to $7,545 per month

This full-time position is temporary and expected to end on or before April 30, 2024. Extension of this assignment is contingent upon sufficient additional funding and satisfactory performance.

The CSU system provides a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans, membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), sick and vacation time, and 14 paid holidays a year. Job Summary

Reporting and supervised by the director of the Jan & Bud Richter Center for Community Engagement and Service-Learning, the temporary, full time Special Projects Coordinator develops, plans, promotes, and oversees a variety of projects and programs related to community engagement and service-learning. In addition, the Special Projects Coordinator is responsible for assisting with Richter Center Student Leaders program, including oversight of the SERVE Committee.

 

Key Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the methods and procedures for providing or performing a variety of administrative functions and services in support of the projects and activities of the office.
  • Thorough knowledge of office systems and ability to use a broad range of technology, systems and packages.
  • General knowledge of the university organizational structure and working knowledge of operational and fiscal procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions both of commonplace and unusual work situations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to make constructive recommendations for modifications or improvements of methods, procedures, techniques, technology or programs.

Education and Experience

  • Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of professional administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs.

    • Preferred Skills:

      • Graduate degree in student services, higher education administration or other related areas.

Promotes the value of community service to students, faculty and staff. CESL represents the University in activities that establish service-oriented partnerships with other educational institutions and the community we serve.

This position may be a "designated position" under the California State University's Conflict of Interest Code. This will require the filing of a Statement of Economic Interest on an annual basis and the completion of training within six (6) months of assuming office and every two (2) years thereafter.
