- 3 temporary hourly-intermittent student assistant positions available in the Division of Academic Affairs
- Must be available 12-20 hours per week for shifts longer than 2 hours each.
- Positions available on or after September 2, 2025 and ending on or before May 29, 2025. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.
- Duties include but are not limited to:
- The Division of Academic Affairs is recruiting Access for All (A4A) Student Assistants. As an A4A Student Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring that digital content meets accessibility standards and regulations, confirming it is usable by individuals with disabilities. Our accessible content team will work to remediate digital content, so it is accessible and available to students, faculty and staff on the CSU Stanislaus campus. We seek students who have demonstrated computer literacy skills and have knowledge of, or a desire to learn, techniques to create accessible materials. Student assistants must have high attention to detail and a learning mindset.

All majors are encouraged to apply for this position as training will be provided. Successful candidates should be adaptable to learning new technology quickly. Must be available 12-20 hours per week for shifts longer than 2 hours each.
- Remediate PDF, Word, PowerPoint, and other documents to meet accessibility standards.
- Proofread Optical Character Recognition results.
- Write descriptions for images.
- Edit captions for videos.
- Record and/or write audio description for videos; edit videos.
- Enter data into databases and/or spreadsheets.
- Perform other duties or projects as assigned.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrates exceptional knowledge of English grammar and spelling.
- Demonstrates the ability to read, write, and listen with a high level of professionalism and accuracy.
- Demonstrates ability to follow directions, learn new skills, work independently, and stay on task.
- Demonstrates ability to think critically.
- Demonstrates problem solving skills.
- Demonstrates ability to write clear, concise, and coherent directions and descriptions.
- Demonstrates familiarity with Windows operating systems and fundamental computer skills.
- Demonstrates experience with Microsoft Office, generic email programs, Adobe Acrobat, and some form of video editing.
Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
- Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.
